On October 2-4 there was the second session of Leadership training for leaders of organizations- members of the “Ukraine without orphans” Alliance. Ruby and Lynn Johnston shared their knowledge and experience on how to be successful managers and leaders in the area of child protection. The training was also attended by representatives of “My Home” fund.

Attention! The seminar in Kherson with Lynn and Ruby will be held at the end of March 2013. The main topic will be associated with the effects of trauma, loss, abuse, and how it is possible to influence the behavior of children. Watch for announcements.

On October 5 there was the first working meeting of the participants of Regional Council to be established for effective work with orphans in the region. The event was attended by over 14 representatives from different regions of Ukraine, including representatives from Kherson region, Andrey Beglenko, director of “My Home” Charity Fund, as well as representatives from the neighboring Nilolaev region, Eugeniy Tkachishin, Chairman of “Alpha Nick” Charity Fund, who is also a parent-teacher of FTCH. During this meeting they discussed the vision of this agency, its purpose, tasks and powers. It was decided that before the first meeting of the Regional Council, which is expected in December, representatives of each region will analyze the situation and identify five obstacles to the “region without orphans”. Currently there are active preparations in this area.
