My Home is Kherson Regional Charity Fund.
It was founded in 2002 by a group of people whose heart was aching for abandoned children and filled with the willingness to change the life of
every orphan.
Our main goal is to facilitate national family placement for orphans and children taken into state custody, to help the chidren find new parents
in loving Christian homes. We also take part in various social projects:
to help children with special needs, to prevent abortions, etc. Our tasks are to collect and circulate truthful and qualitative
information for prospect adopting/fostering families; to connect adopting parents and provide help to them; to influence
the social attitudes and the policy regarding various forms of family placement for orphaned children and their development.
We believe that:
1. God has a special plan for each person, and there is a special place in His heart for orphans. Religion that God our Father accepts as pure
and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress – James 1:27
2. In the beginning God the Father planned fatherhood, acceptance and family for all of us. He predestined us to be adopted as his sons
through Jesus Christ – Eph. 1:5-6
3. It is God who gives the children when we bear them, and it is God who gives the chidren when we adopt. Without God we are not able
to love at all, but He puts his love and the Spirit of sonship into our hearts, expands our territory and opens the doors of our homes.
For you did not receive a spirit that makes you a slave again to fear, but you received the Spirit of sonship. And by him we cry,
“Abba, Father.” The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children. – Rom. 8:15-16
Children have the right to be brought up in a family. This is what the Bible says and this is what Ukrainian llegislation says.
Children should grow in natural setting, which is a family setting.
A Home for us is more than a building with a roof,
windows and doors. All of these plus clothes, meals and shoes is something that the children in orphanages have
quite enough. However, these things by themselves are not enough for children. A home is a place where
you are accepted, loved and secure regardless of circumstances and hardships of life, a place where
you are awaited for and where you are willing to return again and again, it is your shelter.
It is our dream for each child in Ukraine to find his her family, and for the children that do have
a family — to be really happy in them! We are not against foreign adoption, however the goal of our fund is to
help children find their home here, in Ukraine, thus we are not meant to facilitate adoption by foreign citizens.
Nevertheless, we can refer you to the people that can answer all of your questions. We sincerely welcome everyone:
those who want to be involved, those who are willing to support us in prayers, give wise advice and help correct mistakes.
