September trainings from Lynn and Ruby Johnston.

September is the beginning of new school year, thousands of students and the students went to get new knowledge and skills. Foster parents and staff of centers of social services for families, children and young people took time to attend training sessions, organized by the “My Home”.

All week, from 9 to 15th of September, Ruby Lynn Johnston, the trainers worked tirelessly to educate and to share their rich experience with parents and social workers in three cities – Simferopol, Kherson and Nikolayev. During this time, over 250 participants were able to acquire new knowledge and skills on “Psychology of trauma”, “Attachment”, “Optimism is the key to success” and “Communication in families”. All the participants really enjoyed the training and no one left empty.

Lynn and Ruby Johnston are the leaders of the International Development and Leadership Center (http://ildc.org.ua/). They have worked in the area of social work and child protection for more than 30 years. That’s why the trainings were so effective; they were fully based on practice.
